Woody Wax Directions
Unfinished Wood
Sand until smooth, finishing with 220-grit sandpaper. Score wax with wooden paddle and use lint-free cloth to apply paste to wood. Work wax into wood in a circular fashion. It should be applied thickly. Allow wax to penetrate the wood for at least one hour. After one hour, wipe off excess wax from wood and buff along the woodgrain with a new (clean) lint-free cloth. If a shine is desired, repeat steps until satisfied.
Sealed Wood
Start with clean, dry, sealed wood.* Score wax with wooden paddle and add to 0000 steel wool pad. Massage into wood in the direction of the grain. Start with a thin layer and then add a second to ensure coverage. Let set at least one hour to allow penetration. Buff off excess wax in the direction of the grain. If a greater shine is desired, apply a new single layer of wax with lint-free cloth, wait and hour, buff and repeat.
*A pre-application buff can help with initial cleaning of wood to remove fingerprints, minor dirt, or smudges.
